When should you start to look for aged care options?
It’s often family members or friends who notice the change in needs. You may need to seek care for many reasons, some of them may be because:
- there’s a decrease in their mobility or the increased need for accessibility aids
- they’re struggling to conduct everyday tasks
- you’re unsure about their finances and whether they have substantial living costs
- you’re concerned they may have dementia or experiencing memory loss
- you want to understand and find out what’s involved in end of life care.
Families sharing in making care decisions make sure that you still enjoy the best quality of life and truly feel safe, happy and comfortable with any care-related changes that may take place.
Making yourself at home
When you are getting ready to move, remember that we supply your bed, but you can bring in personal items and other furniture, including a comfy chair, TV, chest of drawers… as much as you can fit. Paintings, clocks and photos on the walls and ornaments on display will also make you feel more at home.
