CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Founded by the Catholic charity Knights of the Southern Cross and operating with an obvious Catholic ethos of respect for the human dignity of each person, Southern Cross Care Tasmania Group is Tasmania’s leading aged care provider and one of the State’s largest employers, with over 1,100 full and part time employees and numerous volunteers.
Headquartered in Hobart but operating throughout Tasmania, including in the Bass Strait Islands, SCC Tasmania offers a range of care options to meet people’s needs: residential care, home care, and independent living.
2018-19 was a year of solid performance but also one in which it was evident that, after a recent period of building and acquisition of facilities, SCC needs to adapt and improve to continue to deliver high quality services. Currently under way are major initiatives to modernise the organisation’s IT and systems to ensure that the foundations are well set to provide consistent services to its residents and other clients.
Following the long and successful tenure of the outgoing CEO, Mr Richard Sadek, the Board of SCC now seeks a well-rounded CEO who can consolidate the resetting of systems and processes to ensure Southern Cross Care can provide its clients with excellent care into the future and who by example can instill a culture of respect for those in the care of SCC and those who work for SCC.
Please obtain information about the position by calling the consultant assisting SCC Tas, Kathy McLean, of Fish & Nankivell, on 0414 376 698.
Applications will close on Monday 13 January.
