COIVD-19 Pfizer vaccinations arrive.

Today, February 23, 2021, the long-awaited first shipment of Pfizer COIVD-19 vaccinations arrived at Southern Cross Care Tasmania.

Above, Heather Robinson (Infection Protection Control Manager) and Susan Blyth (Mount Esk Facility Manager) receive the first shipment of Pfizer vaccinations.

Those living in the Mount Esk Aged Care Home in Launceston were the first Southern Cross Care residents to receive a vaccination.

This is a momentous day, and an important milestone as we take steps together to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 within our community.

Over the coming weeks, the Australian Government vaccination teams will be visiting all Southern Cross Care homes across Tasmania to administer vaccinations to residents who elect to receive the vaccine.
